Hey everybody...I can't believe the finish is so close now. :-) The plan is as follows...tomorrow we will leave Mahrs (4km west of Brigus Junction) and finish in Paradise, near start of the Tely 10. This is where we will start the last 14km on Saturday. There are several people who would like to join us as we near the finish so we thought it would be easier to plan if we left the last 14 or so km until Saturday with the plan to finish around noon. If anyone would like to join us please feel free to let me know or just hop on the trail somewhere between Paradise and Signal Hill. :-) I will let you know tomorrow what time we will leave Saturday AM and put a 'schedule' of when we will be where along that section of the trail up until the finish.

Nice work Jason, so nice to see your buddy Rod came along for the last of the journey. Sorry your buddy didn't make it. You just never know what the body is going to do or act up....I can just imagine you two carneys(Rod and J) stumbling through the countryside whootin and hollerin. cussin up a storm and havin a blast. I would love to be there with you. You guys are some of the wildest yet polite and fun crazy cunucks I have ever met. I really hope we can experience something like this together someday. I wish I could hop on a plane know a crash your parade. Great work I can't imagine running that much on consecutive days. Hope to hear more about it when you get back from Africa. Tell Rod hello for me and that you are fortunate to have a mutha f friend like him And he to have you. Have a In-Out milkshake at the finishline for me. Aaron
ReplyDeleteI echo Aaron when I say I so wish I could be there to see you finish and celebrate your success. Having this blog has been fantasitic and has given those of us following along a window into what you have seen, felt and experienced. Thank you for taking the time to do the frequent updates and sharing your pictures.
ReplyDeleteTo those of you joining the team for the finishing leg, a word of caution from one who runs with him on a regular basis. J is unbelieveable at predicting where he will be at any time throughout his runs. So when he gives you the time, be on time, or you'll miss it, and that would be a real shame.
For those of you considering running with them to the finish but aren't quite sure, I really hope you choose to go. I have had the privilege of running with J and Rod and Yigit for the past several years. Everytime I go it is never just a run it is always an experience and a pleasure.
See you soon boys, can't wait to hear all the stories.
